About Us

E.S. Cropconsult Ltd. began providing Integrated Pest Management (IPM) services to growers of vegetable and berry crops in the Fraser Valley in 1988. At present, we provide such services to 6000 acres of 12 agricultural commodities including potatoes, cabbage, organic vegetable crops, cranberries, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, currants, gooseberries, and nurseries. In the past we have also provided urban IPM services for turfgrass, shade trees, and indoor tropical plantscapes. Geographically, we service greater Vancouver, West Delta to Chilliwack in the Fraser Valley, and provide some services to Vancouver Island (Duncan to Campbell River).

What is IPM?

Integrated Pest Management is a system of crop production that manages pests using a combination of tools (cultural, biological, physical and chemical) in an economically and environmentally sustainable way.
IPM involves a knowledge of pest life cycles, field monitoring, data collection, thresholds, and recommendations based on pest and beneficial levels in each field.
Our Research
RESEARCHResearch is a substantial and necessary part of our service. Our research projects focus on all aspects of the IPM tool box (chemical, biological, cultural and physical controls) for control of pests and diseases. Our goal is to integrate new tools that are economically and environmentally viable, and strategies for management of pests and diseases of the commodities we provide services for.
